My main goal was to transform my thought process on food, portion sizes, and to get back into a routine of working out. "Working with Danielle was one of the best decisions I've made on my fitness/wellness journey. When I started out, I was definitely very nervous about eating more food and needed to shift my mindset. Danielle helped me so immensely with this and was patient enough to repeat things I needed to hear a few times over until it stuck. I really wanted to learn how to eat healthy and maintain a healthy weight when I started working with Danielle. She is so helpful when it comes to teaching the fundamentals of a healthy approach to eating and learning to eat a proper amount to maintain health. My favorite part of working with Danielle is having feed back, and help with understanding the need to eat the right amount of calories. The best is having feed back from someone instead of just using an app. The positive feed back and adjustments have made this journey much easier. I have made a lot of progress so far in her program such as: understanding i need to eat protein, fiber carb, starchy carb and fat; eating enough calories. Tracking my protein intake to make my goal amount. I have lost a little, maintained my weight and am eating enough calories. I feel better about myself tracking the progress I've made.
My goals when starting were to gain more energy, lose weight, and learn healthy eating habits. My favorite part of working with Danielle was the accountability! Weekly check-ins and reflection on what works well/not well. Her availability - that she’s available through Voxer when something unexpectedly comes up. She was so helpful when it came to cheering me on and she has good knowledge of nutrition and workouts. I felt like the level of communication was a perfect balance for me, very encouraging and provided so many great resources to pin point problems/issues that may be blocking my progress. Coaching with Danielle helped me put my physical and mental health first by being comfortable with saying "no" to things that required me to push off my "me time." Learning the importance of protein by seeing and seeing the difference it made by intentionally including it in my meals helped a lot too. I started listening to my body and getting enough sleep and started connecting food to hormones. I have just begun to scratch the surface but she got me asking questions and connecting food to moods, PMS, and headaches.
"The biggest thing was not letting the scale have so much freaking impact! I started taking weekly progress photos and over a couple of months, I could see a huge difference in my body even though my weight was the same. I was lifting heavier and sleeping better, which I would have overlooked before. It took me a while to get everything she taught me to click in my head, but better late than never!"
